Child and Young Person’s Therapist & Supervisor MBACP (Accred)

About Me

My own life experiences have led me on this journey. I believe that having a safe space where I was attuned to and understood allowed me to explore and understand my feelings and to recognise and change unhelpful patterns of behaviour.

I have over 10 years’ experience working with children and young people. Passionate about children and young people’s mental health and emotional well-being.

I started as a volunteer counsellor for Childline. Then working for a local counselling charity with young people aged 12-25 years old cemented my drive to help children and young people make sense of their world and work towards living fulfilling lives.

I have specific experience working with vulnerable children and young people with complex issues, in a special needs SEMH (social emotional and Mental Health) Secondary school. All of the students had an EHCP (Educational Health Care Plan), some of their diagnosis’s included ADHD and autism.

Alongside my private practice, I work as a children’s counsellor and supervisor with Place2Be, a leading provider of support for children’s mental health in schools.

In my private practice, I work both long and short term with young people.

I am an accredited registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and am bound by the code of Ethics & Practice demanded by the professional body.

I am committed to ongoing professional development (CPD).
